Phone Issues?

Student Computing supports only computer-related network issues. For any phone issues, please contact PAETEC office (800-960-6555), and let them know that you are having problems with your phone jack, and not your ethernet jack.

Accessing the HMS Networks

Network access in Vanderbilt Hall can be obtained by completing the following steps:

1. Having the necessary computer requirements (e.g., CAT-5e cable, ethernet card).
2. Having an active network jack in Vanderbilt Hall.
3. Configuring your Windows-based or Macintosh-based PC.

Wired Connection: To obtain a wired connection to the HMS Network, carefully follow these directions.
Wireless Connection: Residents can now access the HMS wireless networks throughout Vanderbilt Hall. For information on how to access the public or private HMS wireless networks, read the following directions carefully.

NOTE: P2P (Peer-to-Peer) File Sharing applications are not allowed to be used on the HMS networks. Please read the HMS P2P File Sharing Application Policy for more information.
